Creating a Message with Graphics

eMail inChorus provides several ways of adding graphics or images to your messages. Using the Whiteboard, you can add graphics by importing messages, capturing images, or by using the drawing tools.

Importing Images

Loading a PICT file:

  1. From the File menu, select Import/Picture.
  2. Locate the file in the dialog box and click OK .

    Copying a picture from another application:

    1. Copy the picture to the Clipboard.
    2. From the Edit menu of the Whiteboard, click Paste.

      Capturing Screen Images

    1. From the Tools menu of the Whiteboard, select Screen Capture. Once selected, the Whiteboard disappears and your mouse pointer turns into a cross.
    2. Click, drag, and release your mouse over the area you want the image to appear.
    3. The Whiteboard reappears and the screen image is captured.

    Using the Drawing Tools

    eMail inChorus' drawing tools work similarly to most drawing programs. (See Drawing Toolbar for a description of each of the drawing tools.) To use the tools, click the tool icon on the drawing toolbar to activate the tool. Then position the cursor and click and drag to create the desired shape or line and then release the mouse button.

    To move an object:

    1. Activate the Select tool.
    2. Click and drag the object to the new position.
    3. Release the mouse.

    To change object properties:

    1. Activate the Select tool.
    2. Click the object.
    3. Click the appropriate object property button on the drawing toolbar (Pen Color, Pen Style, or Brush Color). A menu or dialog box with property options appears.
    4. Select the properties for the object.

    While the object is selected, you can continue to modify the property options.

    To reshape an object:

    1. Activate the Select tool and click the object.
    2. Click and drag the appropriate rectangular "handles" on the object to the desired location.
    3. Release the mouse.

    To delete an object:

    1. Activate the Select tool and click the object.
    2. Press the DEL button on your keyboard or select Delete from the Edit menu.

    Adding Text Objects

    You can add text to the Whiteboard pages to support the graphics. To add text, activate the text tool on the drawing toolbar. Then click the Whiteboard where the text is to begin and type the text.
